Essential Documents for NEET Counselling Reporting 2026 (MCC | AACCC | VCI)

If you have been allotted a seat in NEET UG 2025 counselling and are about to report to an MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, B.Sc. Nursing, or B.V.Sc. college, having the correct documents is the single most important step. Every year, thousands of students lose their allotted seat simply because they arrive at reporting with the wrong or incomplete documents. This guide covers the complete document checklist for MCC, AACCC, and VCI counselling, category-wise certificate requirements, and the common mistakes that lead to seat cancellation.

Written by Dr. SR Prajapati — BAMS Graduate (MMM Udaipur), NEET Counselling Expert with 3+ years of guidance experience and 1000+ students counselled across India.

NEET Counselling 2026

Why This Document Checklist Matters

Every year, thousands of NEET-qualified students lose their allotted MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, B.Sc. Nursing, or B.V.Sc. seat — simply because they arrive at the reporting college without the correct documents. This comprehensive guide covers every document you need for reporting and joining your allotted college under MCC (Medical Counselling Committee), AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee), and VCI (Veterinary Council of India) counselling 2025–2026.

Whether you are searching for ‘documents required for NEET counselling 2025’, ‘MCC reporting documents list’, ‘AACCC joining documents’, ‘VCI counselling reporting checklist’, or ‘NEET UG allotment letter documents’ — this is the only guide you need.

Note: Candidates without original certificates will not be allowed to take admission. Colour photocopies are not accepted. Carry originals along with 2 sets of self-attested photocopies of every document.

These documents are mandatory for every candidate reporting to any allotted college, regardless of counselling type (MCC / AACCC / VCI) or category.

1.1 Allotment Letter

The Provisional Allotment Letter is the single most important document. It must be downloaded directly from the official portal:

Important: The allotment letter must be the one generated online by the official portal. No manual or offline allotment letter is valid. MCC, AACCC, and VCI do not allot seats on a nomination basis.

1.2 NEET-UG 2025 Admit Card

The Admit Card issued by NTA (National Testing Agency) for NEET-UG 2025 is required at all colleges. Keep the original safe and carry photocopies.

1.3 NEET-UG 2025 Score Card / Rank Letter

The Score Card / Result / Rank Letter issued by NTA. Download it from ntaresults.nic.in or the official NEET result portal.

1.4 Class 10th Certificate (Date of Birth Proof)

The 10th Standard (Secondary School) Certificate from a recognized Board is required primarily as Date of Birth proof. If the 10th certificate does not mention date of birth, a separate Birth Certificate from a Municipal Authority must be provided.

Mark sheet of the 10th Standard examination from the recognized Board.

1.6 Class 12th (10+2) Pass Certificate

Section 8: Common Mistakes That Lead to Seat Cancellation

Document-Related Mistakes

  • Arriving with a colour photocopy instead of the original — not accepted
  • OBC-NCL certificate issued before 1 April 2025 — rejected
  • OBC sub-caste not in the Central OBC List — rejected
  • PwBD certificate from a private hospital / individual doctor — rejected
  • SC/ST certificate in a regional language without an English translation — may cause issues
  • Leaving original certificates deposited at another college — not acceptable
  • Missing Transfer Certificate — can delay admission

Process-Related Mistakes

  • Not locking choices on the MCC / AACCC portal — choices auto-lock, but always verify manually
  • Joining a Round 3 seat and then trying to resign — not permitted after joining Round 3
  • Not reporting within the stipulated time — the seat gets cancelled
  • Initiating a bank chargeback for the security deposit — causes long refund delays
  • Using an NRI bank account for the security deposit — RBI does not allow a direct refund to an NRI account

Category-Related Mistakes

  • Claiming OBC reservation with a State OBC list certificate (only the Central OBC list is valid for AIQ)
  • EWS candidates with a family income above ₹8 Lakh claiming reservation
  • NRI candidates trying to claim SC/ST/OBC category reservation — not allowed

Section 9: Counselling Round Reference — MCC / AACCC / VCI

  • Round 1 — First allotment. Free exit allowed (no need to join to participate in Round 2)
  • Round 2 — Fresh choices. If allotted and not joined, the security deposit is forfeited

  • Stray Vacancy Round — Fresh registration. Joining the allotted seat is compulsory

AACCC Counselling Rounds — 2025

  • Offline admitted candidates lose their AACCC-allotted seat in the same round
  • All admissions and resignations are online only

Security Deposit Refund Timeline

  • MCC: Security is refunded after completion of all rounds — within 30 days of MCC notification on mcc.nic.in

Conclusion

Securing a seat in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BNYS, B.V.Sc., or B.Sc. Nursing through NEET counselling is a tremendous achievement. But the admission process is not complete until you physically report with all your original documents and complete the college formalities.

This guide covers every document you need for MCC, AACCC, and VCI counselling reporting in 2025–2026. Bookmark this page and share it with fellow NEET candidates. If you need expert guidance on counselling strategy, college selection, or your preference list, contact Dr. SR Prajapati — NEET Counselling Expert.

Expert Tip: Prepare your document folder at least 1 week before reporting. Get OBC/EWS certificates freshly issued (after 1 April 2025). Carry originals + 2 sets of self-attested photocopies of every document. Reach the college on Day 1 of the reporting window — don’t wait for the last day.

Frequently Asked Questions – NEET Counselling Documents 2025

NEET Counselling Documents 2025 से जुड़े सबसे महत्वपूर्ण सवाल और उनके जवाब

Q1. What documents are required for MCC NEET counselling reporting 2025?
You need the Allotment Letter, NEET Admit Card, NEET Score Card, Class 10th & 12th Certificates and Mark Sheets, 8 Passport Size Photographs, Photo ID Proof, Transfer Certificate, and applicable category certificates such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD. Full details are available in the document checklist sections above.
Q2. What is the validity of the OBC certificate for NEET counselling 2025?
For MCC and AACCC Counselling 2025, the OBC-NCL Certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2025. Older certificates are generally not accepted. The candidate's sub-caste must also be included in the Central OBC List.
Q3. Can I submit a colour photocopy at reporting time?
No. Reporting authorities require original documents. Candidates should carry originals along with at least 2 sets of self-attested photocopies. Colour photocopies alone are not accepted.
Q4. What documents are required for AACCC BAMS/BHMS/BUMS reporting?
AACCC candidates must carry all universal documents along with the Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure-V). BSMS candidates may require a Tamil Language Certificate, while BUMS candidates may need Urdu/Arabic/Persian language proof if applicable.
Q5. Are documents required for all rounds or only the first round?
Original documents are required whenever you physically report to an allotted college, including Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy Round. If you upgrade your seat, you must report again with all original documents.
Q6. What if my name spelling is different across different documents?
Carry a notarized affidavit clearly stating that both names refer to the same person. Many colleges ask for this document when there is a mismatch in name spelling.
Q7. What documents are needed for AIIMS reporting?
All standard MCC reporting documents are required. In addition, OCI, PIO, and Foreign National candidates must carry their citizenship proof, passport, or OCI card. Candidates should also verify any institution-specific requirements from the respective AIIMS website.
Q8. Is a Transfer Certificate mandatory for NEET counselling reporting?
Yes. A Transfer Certificate (TC) issued by the last institution attended (usually Class 12th school) is mandatory for both MCC and AACCC counselling reporting.
Q9. What happens if I don't join in Round 3?
If you are allotted a seat in Round 3 and fail to join, your security deposit may be forfeited according to counselling rules, and you become ineligible for further counselling rounds including the Stray Vacancy Round.
Q10. Can I participate in both MCC and AACCC counselling?
Yes. NEET-UG qualified candidates can register separately for both MCC and AACCC counselling. Separate registration fees apply. However, candidates must follow the counselling rules carefully because holding seats in different counselling systems can affect eligibility in subsequent rounds.
